Making Training Fun and Stimulating

Recently I attended a 1 day course on Chronic Pain and Movement that was conducted by osteopath Grant Burrows of Pro Care in Geelong.  Grant is one of those very smart people who is able to translate very complex concepts and information into simple bits of useful information that people can take away and implement into their everyday practice.  There were many great things to take away from the day, however what I especially liked and sometimes feel we as health professionals can either forget about or not place emphasis on is to have FUN.  Having fun and keeping things stimulating and enjoyable makes the session go quickly as well as also makes what we are doing through active treatment and management not seem like a chore.  Hence, I bought the vertical trampoline and decided to play around with it one day in my session by adding a backward step/lunge with overhead throw which challenges movement, strength, control and coordination all in one.  Below is a quick video demo of this.
