Lower Limb Pilates Workshop @Pilates on Bourke

This weekend just gone saw Pilates on Bourke and Principle Four Osteopathy host a 1 day day pilates workshop for Allied Health Professionals that focused on exercise prescription for the lower limb (everything from the hip down to the intrinsics of the foot) incorporating mat work pilates, reformer pilates and studio pilates equipment. It was a great day that was attended by 15 allied health professionals who were taken through and shown how to progress and regress exercises from the floor (lying, side lying, supine and 4 point kneeling position) to upright functional movements such as single leg balance, step up, lunge, hip hinging and squatting.   Pilates educators and trainers Jodie Sheehy and Brett Webster were fantastic at teaching this and showing us how to perform these exercises as well as have us understand why/when to prescribe these and how to progress and regress them to suit both our own and clients needs.
