Increasing Stability And Support For Single Leg Squats

Single leg squats are possibly one of the most challenging exercises one can master when it comes to training the lower body.  In the video below by osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy he demonstrates how he can increase his stability and support to reduce the demand on being able to perform a single leg squat. This enables him to explore the full range of the single leg squat as part of his training program.  Other ways to perform this include using a TRX to hold onto.  Whilst it is important to also train partial single leg squats without support and to build up to a full single leg squat with support, it is also important to get the body used to feeling the exercise through the full range of motion.
