Increasing Plantarflexion Using Tri Plane Arm Drivers

Recently I was asked by a colleague on Instagram a great way to increasing plantarflexion through the ankle joint and it had me thinking of different ways to do this.  My first go to thought was to literally sit back on ones heels with the ankles in plantarflexion.  Whilst this is certainly a great way to work on increasing plantarflexion, I wanted to see if there might be a better way to use the body to drive motion through the ankle joint across all three planes of motion.  Hence, the instagram video below which is a simple demonstration of how you can also use ones body to help drive additional movement into the ankle joint from afar.

For those of you who are looking to work on improving your plantarflexion mobility, give the above drill a try.  My next plantarflexion video will look to incorporate bands to assist ones ability to increase plantarflexion.
