Hanging L Sit Progression Drill

In the video below we will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients performing a L Sit progression drill. This exercise involves the client actively hanging from the bar with their thighs at 90 degrees to the floor.  Whilst maintaining this position they are then required to actively straight out one leg at a time which helps them to build strength through the trunk/core and lower body as part of their end goal of being able to performing a hanging L sit.

This same drill can also be performed when having a person hold themselves on the paralletes as part of their goal to being able to performing a parallete L-sit.

Bodyweight movements such as these can be fun to perform and are a big challenge.  For those of you who are sick and tired of performing the typical machine based exercises and or are looking for something different to do, then be sure to check out and try some bodyweight calisthenic exercises.

Principle Four Osteopathy recommends Jon at Jon Weller PT Studio or Alex at Melbourne Calisthenics for people wanting to improve their function, move well and do something different with their exercise.
