Hammer Push Ups

I was recently on my instagram account looking for some new exercise ideas and came across this great little upper body workout.  Whilst it is probably not the most useful way to use the hammer, given the modern day city that we live and the general lack of use of hammers, this probably is one of the most useful ways to use one for city folk.

The idea of this exercise is to place both hands on the hammer and perform an push up whilst keeping the handle off the ground.  I have tried the beginners version (both hands palm down).  For those of you who find this easy, try placing the hand on the handle palm up to create more of a challenge.  It is a mix of being able to stabilise through your upper body, torso and lower limb whilst balancing the tension between the left and right arms.
