Frog Hip Mobility Drill

I first came across this exercise when I was watching Charlie Weingroff DVD Lateralisations and Progressions and have since incorporated this exercise mobility drill into my lower limb movement preparation phase to help open up through the hips.  In the images below you will see osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy demonstrating this stretch.  Whilst it can be performed as a static stretch, I have found that the best results come by gently adding movement to it.  The aim is to find a gentle stretch in the groin region and then gently move forwards and backwards whilst aiming to maintain a neutral spine position.
