Explosive Chin Ups

Recently I have been playing around a little more with regards to developing power through changing the variables (speed and load).  In this video below I have tried to add in a speed component with body weight against gravity to try and create a more explosive vertical pulling movement.  The idea is to pull ones self up fast enough to allow you to let go of the bar with your grip and then grip the bar again and control the descent.

The same principles are commonly applied to push ups where you will perform an explosive push up and take your hands off the floor and then land and perform the push up.  For those looking for a little bit more a showy explosive push up, try clapping your hands before you land or bringing your arms up in front like a superman or touching them behind your back.
