Everyone Has  A Choice When It Comes To Their Health And Wellbeing In The Workplace

When it comes to looking after your own health and wellbeing, there is no one else apart from yourself who controls this and can change this.  Now I fully understand how busy life can be, long work hours, families (partners and children) to time with and look after, commuting to/from home to work, running of the house (cleaning, cooking etc) and many other things that make it hard for us to get time to move and exercise.  I too also feel this pressure and struggle with this everyday, but I also make it an absolute priority in my life because I also know how important it is for the balance of both my mental and physical wellbeing.  Below are just a few short videos of how I have been trying to keep active of late when at work.  Please note, whilst these look like jokes in the workplace, I actually do these regularly.  Now I know not everyone has the luxury of a gym in their workplace, but essentially the message is the same.  Simply swap a chin up or dumbbell combo for walking up/down the stairs, getting out at lunch everyday for a walk, standing up every 20 minutes and doing a different stretch or active exercise, even if it is just a 30 second stretch or 30 second exercise.  The time to start is now and unless you prioritise it, no one else will.
