Don’t Let An Injury Stop You Training

More often than not I will have clients present to the clinic for the treatment of an injury and as a result of this they will often stop training altogether.  Whilst there are certainly times that one should stop training if training is likely to delay the healing of the injury or aggravate their complaint, there are usually more reasons and opportunities for them to continue training and working around their injury.  Recently I had a consult with a great sports doc (Karen Holzer) and underwent some imaging.  The outcome of these consultations revealing what I thought I had been dealing with for some time now (bursa irritation, tendinopathy and moderate AC joint wear and tear).  Rather than stop training altogether, I figured I would take this opportunity to reframe and focus on other areas of my body as well as continue training with my opposite arm.  Below are a few videos and pics from some of my recent training sessions as I work towards getting this shoulder sorted.
