Developing Mobility and Then Building Strength Through Range

In the image below you will see one of Principle Four Osteopathy clients demonstrating a supported squat (hands holding bar in front for increased stability) and then an image of them performing a loaded front squat.  At Principle Four Osteopathy we are big believers in having our clients address mobility and technique and then move through to body weight control and then loaded movements to help build strength through range of motion and to help reinforce the movements previously trained.  The same can be said for flexibility/stretching work, why just stretch a tissue for short term increased range of motion gains when you could actively progress the individual into a dynamic or loaded movement which may help to further reinforce those gains.
