Cossack Squat + Counterweight

In the video below you will see osteopath Heath Williams demonstrating a Cossack squat with counterweight (kettlebell held out in front).  He has incorporated this into his Cossack squat warm up routine to assist with both trunk positioning and also gaining range towards the end range of the movement.   The weight selected is just enough to assist with the exercise.  Following a couple of sets of this exercise, progression to a Cossack squat without counterweight is performed.  This is a great overall exercise for both developing mobility through the hips in the frontal plane, but also building strength in the legs.
