Having Committed To Change, How To Action It!

Change is something that we all deal with on a daily basis.  The importance of change and whether we action it will vary greatly depending on the change focus and also the individual.  Once we have gone through the stages of contemplation, ambivalence, possibilities of change and committing to change, we have to plan and action it.  When it comes to planning and and creating action, start with the following creating a vision for your change focus.  This could involved writing, discussing and undertaking through acts and behaviours an approach that will have you undertaking your goal/vision or moving towards your goal/vision.  Get started by identifying what you will do to achieve your vision/goal and then identify strategies to assist you in achieving your goal/vision.   It is important to reward yourself in the process and also accept that sometimes you might come across hurdles that have you going 2 steps backwards or sideways.  This is ok and often very common when people are looking to succeed in meeting a goal / vision.  Next time you are thinking about change and working towards a goal / vision, try planning it out so that you understand your reasons and have some strategies to support you.
