Combining Upper Body and Core Conditioning – Static Chin With Knee To Elbow Reach

The below exercise demonstrated by osteopath Heath Williams of Principle Four Osteopathy was first introduced to Heath by Melbourne Calisthenics owner Alex Jenkins.  This is a great exercise for those wanting to improve static upper body strength holds whilst training the core.

The aim is to maintain a half chin up (upper arm – humerus) parallel to the ground whilst bringing the knees to the elbows to work the core muscles.

If you are into body weight training, calisthenics or crossfit, then this is a great training accessory exercise to add to your program.
